Within just a few months of operating, AmazingFoods Corporation, manufacturer of Santa Maria Virgin Coconut Oil, bested more than ten hopefuls for the title of 2005 National Shoppers’ Choice for Best Virgin Coconut Oil Manufacturer in Metro Manila.

The National Shoppers’ Choice Annual Awards honors and recognizes companies that have excelled in their respective fields of business based on the criteria of product quality, company reputation, brand recognition and consumer services.
How AmazingFoods was able to achieve this amazing feat is simple; according to Jessica Gutierrez, AFC’s Marketing Director. “We started the business with one thing in mind— giving only the best for our customers.” states Gutierrez, whose family runs a coconut plantation. After gaining expertise in VCO production from industry pioneers, she and her business partners began researching how to make the most premium quality virgin coconut oil.
“We’ve conducted studies on different methods of producing virgin coconut oil. Although other methods prove more cost-efficient and hence more profitable, our selected method— ANH or Absolutely No Heat method, yields the greatest nutritional value. By adding no heat to hasten the removal of moisture in the oil, important nutrients are not lost. By keeping our process entirely natural, we are able to produce the healthiest possible VCO.” explains Gutierrez. “Plus, the taste is more palatable.” she adds.
AmazingFoods Corporation started its operations on August 2005 and launched its Cold Pressed, Cold Processed, Absolutely No Heat Santa Maria Virgin Coconut Oil on November 2005 at the Philippine Trade Trading Center. AFC has also launched beauty products made from Santa Maria VCO. They currently sell their products locally and in Korea; and have prospects to expand their market in other countries.
